Festival of Orthodox Christian Art

Don’t miss this amazing feature of artists, iconographers, and singers, gathering for a unique and rich experience of the Orthodox Church!


As featured on The Symbolic World, WRR, Dallas Morning News, and many other outlets, the Pan Orthodox community will be coming together at Sts. Constantine and Helen Antiochian Church in Carrollton, TX for the Festival of Orthodox Christian Art!

On Friday the 18th enjoy the keynote speech at 7pm by Dr. Peter Bouteneff, Director of the Sacred Arts Institute at St. Vladimir’s Theological Seminary, then be amazed by the St. Kassiani Chorale at 8, directed by Deacon Anthony Sykes, and then peruse the exhibits early before the big day on Saturday!

Saturday includes the exhibits of breathtaking works by notable Orthodox artists, miniature classes on how to make Pysanky (beautiful, painted eggs), moving art films by Titiana Popa, and dive into the richness of the Orthodox tradition with presentations by architect Baker Galloway, our very own Deacon Gregory Farman on Writing with your patron saint, Deacon Anthony Sykes discussing the beauty of the Orhtodox Liturgy, Tatiana Houston speaking on grief and healing, Joshua Sturgill on Literature and Orthodoxy, Anthony Gehrels on how to read an Icon, and Richard Rohlin speaking about the Sacremental Imagination. Saturday conlcudes with pan-orthodox vespers, served at 5pm.

Sunday begins with the offering of the services of Orthros (08:45am) and a Hierarchical Liturgy (10:00am). Following the liturgy join the community there for fellowship and a final view of the exhibits and chances to interact with the artists before the event closes at 2:00 PM.
