From May 6 to June 12, 2022, the exhibition of visual art “Art Days 2022. War. Ukraine ”
“... The world of artists has entered a whirlwind of change. Things and processes that have existed remotely and conditionally have now become closer, more terrible, and the imaginary stability of the world has been emotionally blown away”.
The organizers of the exhibition - the Latvian Artists' Union - dedicate this year's Art Days to the support of Ukraine. It is also important for the creative community and artists in Latvia to resonate with their attitude and visual feelings.
The invitation of the Latvian Artists' Union to participate in the exhibition states: “The world of artists has entered a whirlwind of change. Things and processes that have existed remotely and conditionally have now become closer, more terrible, and the imaginary stability of the world has been emotionally blown away ”.
Reflecting on the current and terrible war in Ukraine for the whole society, 66 Latvian artists and students of the visual arts have participated in the exhibition. Exhibitions “Art Days 2022. War. Ukraine ”democratic format provides an opportunity for the discovery of new talent by overcoming the censorship of routine, certain topics or censorship of experience.
The artists' works are not judged in the Art Days exhibitions, and the organizers accept the creative expressions submitted by the authors in various art forms.
The exposition of the exhibition combines the performance of various artists, the main condition of their creative activity is professionalism, and special emphasis is placed on artists - personalities, but everyone is invited to participate in the activities of the “Art Days”! Exhibitions “Art Days 2022. War. Ukraine ”will be opened on May 6 at 18.00.
The exhibition will be on display at the LMS Gallery until June 12. The exhibition is organized by: Latvian Artists' Union.
