Presentation of the photography exhibition of Nikos Koukis, in the island of Imvros.

It is with great pleasure that we announce the presentation of our exhibition with photographic material by Nikos Koukis in Imvro, in collaboration with the Holy Metropolis of Imvros and Tenedos and with the support of the Imvros association of Macedonia - Thrace.

The exhibition will be opened on Thursday, August 18, 2022 at 19:00 at the Cultural Center of Agioi Theodoros in Imvro and the opening will be honored with His Presence, the A.Th.P. the Ecumenical Patriarch Mr. Bartholomew. The exhibition presents photographic material from the pilgrimage of Nikos Koukis to Little Agia Anna in Mt Athos, a place of practice of ascetism by many great Elders of Mt Athos, which he carried out in 1994, on the occasion of the celebration of the Monastic hut of St John the Forerunner.

The exhibition is part of the anniversary celebration program of the Diocese of Imvros and Tenedos on the occasion of the completion of 250 years since the birth of Bartholomeus Koutloumousianos of Imvros (December 22, 1722).

The first presentation of the photographic works took place in the Gallery of the Mt Athos Centre from February 13 to September 5, 2020.
