"Pro-life rally held at Manhattan abortion center"
Orthodox Christians Pro-Life held a prayer service for an end to abortion in Manhattan on Saturday, July 23.
The moleben was served in front of the entrance to Eastside Gynecology at 635 Madison Ave by Abbot Zosimas (Krampis) from the Monastery of St. Dionysios the Areopagite in Long Island.

On 24 June, the day when Roe vs. Wade was overturned by the Supreme Court, Fr. Zosimas joined the rally near New York City Hall to celebrate the High Court’s decision.
Orthodox Christians Pro-Life also held a moleben in Queens the next day, led by Dcn. Paul Hunchak, who also offered a short homily.
Orthodox Christians also celebrated the overturning Roe in other states. On Saturday, July 2, parishioners from Crawfordsville, Indiana, celebrated the victory with a cross procession, on a route that included the Montgomery County Courthouse. The event sponsored by Holy Transfiguration Orthodox Church was countered by a group of pro-abortion protesters.

With Roe overturned, the work is just beginning to make abortion illegal in all 50 states and U.S. territories.

Glory to God, as of July 24, abortion is completely banned in 8 states: Alabama, Arkansas, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, and Wisconsin, and a ban is expected soon in Idaho, North Dakota, Tennessee, and Wyoming.
The importance of pro-life education even in states where abortion is banned can be seen from the example of 5 other states: Arizona, Louisiana, Kentucky, Utah and West Virginia, where a ban was passed and subsequently blocked.
This is why we need to continue our activities in every state, witnessing the truth through education and helping pregnant women overcome difficulties.
