The fire that broke out on the night of Friday, June 24, in an inaccessible forest area in Agios Andreas of Mount Athos, near Cape Arapis, is in decline, without threatening monasteries and other facilities.



117 firefighters with 6 groups of pedestrians, 30 vehicles and periodically operate 6 aircraft and 4 helicopters in the firefighting operation.They also assist water tankers and construction machinery of the Greek army.
